With its products, BorgWarner covers power ranges from 20-1000 kW engine power and per exhaust gas turbocharger. The product range covers turbochargers for passenger cars and commercial vehicles as well as for industrial, locomotive and marine engines.

The origins date back to the merger of the world-famous turbocharger manufacturers KKK and Schwitzer. The development and production of turbochargers began at KKK and Schwitzer back in 1952. Even today, many innovations come from BorgWarner Turbo Systems, such as the new R2S® system with four turbochargers for BMW.

BorgWarner boosts the output of the new BMW diesel engine with 235 kW (320 hp) to a previously unrivalled level. The two-stage regulated (R2S®) turbocharging system from BorgWarner supplies the engine with boost pressure. The highlight: Two turbochargers with variable turbine geometry (VTG) from the global product leader in the field of clean and efficient technologies for vehicles with combustion engines, hybrid and electric drives ensure spontaneous power delivery when the accelerator pedal is touched. The system enables outstanding acceleration values, saves fuel and significantly reduces emissions.
